Kaphera works like a safe, trusted mail carrier for data between companies. It only delivers information to people allowed to see it, and keeps a record of who saw what and when.

Kaphera can never be owned or sold. That keeps it fair and trustworthy for everyone who uses it.

Kaphera already connects automotive manufacturers, factory operators and shipping companies through trusted data. The bigger goal is helping every industry share knowledge fairly.

We take companies through it. The programme itself is run by IDSA, Catena-X and Cofinity-X.

What the programme is

The Data Space Accelerator is a large-scale study, publicly financed by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWE), of how industrial data spaces develop when a critical mass of companies participate in productive data exchange. Catena-X is the reference data space. Participating companies can receive remuneration of up to €15,000 (Lot 1) or €30,000 (Lot 2) based on verified productive data exchange. It is aimed primarily at European SMEs and mid-caps, and is open to any company that qualifies.

What we do

Kaphera Ltd / Think.iT GmbH is an implementation partner. We handle the technical side — onboarding, connector, certificate management — so taking part does not require in-house data-space expertise. Your side is a short form, two surveys of about thirty minutes each, and one contact person.

Who can take part

  • At least 10 employees and €500,000 revenue in each of 2023, 2024 and 2025 — for the applying legal entity or operating location
  • A commercial legal entity in the EU or a GPA signatory country — not a public body or research institute
  • Not registered with Cofinity-X before 1 May 2026

Two paths — one per company, chosen at submission and binding:

  • Lot 1 — onboarding and certificate management
  • Lot 2 — onboarding + one advanced use case

The programme ends 31 December 2026.

Remuneration (results-based, verified productive data exchange):

  • Lot 1 — up to €15,000 + VAT
  • Lot 2 — up to €30,000 + VAT
